After UK Gold launched in 1992, the UKN channels were repositioned. Galaxy shifted to sci-fi and arts, while Now became a channel with documentaries and in-depth news.

Fast-forward to 1997, the 5 channels received the UKTV rebrand. This is the UK Sports version, which utilized the split-screen concept.
