The specialized branding continued in the late-night movie strand Carlton Cinema, as the screen cymbol formed a part of a film projector exclaiming the blockbuster screening TONIGHT. Title and time of the film can be entered on the top left-hand corner on the fly.

The Carlton Cinema brand became popular within local viewers, much so that a namesake cable channel would be launched 20 years later.
