I like this piece. It has all the coolness of a howling wolf, COMBINED WITH a neato black wolf. I also like that you did a full scene--that near tree is especially nice.
However, I am really confused as to the scale of these wolves and their environment. I thought at first there were mountains in the background, but then I see that wolf waaay back there, and he's almost as tall as the mountain. So...maybe he's on a hill. But then...those don't look like hills.
There's also a tree back there by the 2 wolves--or maybe it's a bush. If it's a tree, then it make the wolves look gigantic, 'cos they're as tall as that tree! But if it's a bush, then it's a very tree-like bush, unknown to me.
However, it's great that you're doing full scenes like this and experimenting with putting characters on different planes. And I think you're doing really well with your watercolors--much better than I ever did with 'em, anyway!
Keep up the good work--you'll go far when you're willing to work this hard on a piece!
water colours will like when you've used them more and more. practice makes perfect etc. i like the picture, but could use a wee bit more shading, especially for the wolf in the distance. also might want to try a different brush size so you can get closer to the wolves, you have a sort of ..glow.. around the black one. just some tips for ya :) and paint more!! this is lovely!
I really love this.. O_O The way you did the fur of the wolves is really neat; it makes the image looks really realistic... ^^
Great job, keep the great work up :D
