Themes 1: The Many Faces of Me by @VioletWhirlwind (Violet Whirlwind)
I'm finally getting this uploaded. 100 themes challenge, pic 1. Yeah, I know, I've only done pic number ONE so far. >.> I'm a slow artist, what can I say?
Anyway, when I FIRST started drawing this it wasn't originally even for the 100. I was just drawing myself as different species, and halfway into it I decided it would make a good 100 themes intro pic, so...yeah.
Anyway...on to the actual drawing...
I have not been able to pinpoint any SINGLE species I am, therefore, I picked several to include in this, although I am not limited to what is displayed here. I kind of consider myself a bit of a shape-shifter. >.>
Row 1:
Panel 1: Me as I appear to the mundanes. So as to not freak them out. XD Although I can't draw humans well, so it might freak them out for that reason anyway. =p Basically, I used this as mainly a basis for comparison with all the others.
Panel 2: Me as a winged unicorn. Ever since I was young, I have envisioned myself as a winged unicorn. And I still do. Although I am no longer strictly a winged unicorn, it is still a major part of who I am.
Panel 3: The obligatory cat. This is only a minor part of me, but seeing as the only thing REMOTELY close to a fursuit I have (which really isn't, it's just ears and a tail) is a cat, I figured I should include this species. My cat-self is a calico.
Row 2:
Panel 4: African Wild Dog, aka African Hunting Dog, aka Painted Dog. I prefer the term "Painted Dog" as it is simpler, and doesn't refer to a location in the animal name. Anyway...No real reason for my being this species, they're just cool. I love their ears.
Panel 5: Dragon. No real reason for this one either, and I don't REALLY see myself as one, but...I was curious as to what I would look like as a dragon, so...here you go.
Panel 6: Border Collie. If I was a dog, I would probably be of this breed. They are extremely smart cough >.>...as am I...cough
Row 3:
Panel 7: Smilodon. Why? Um...I tend to like drawing things with sabre-fangs. They're cool. shrug
Panel 8: (Spotted) Skunk. Umm...not going into explaining this one...>.>;; cough
Panel 9: Hyena. They're cool. And misunderstood. Nature's original feminists. cough Anyway, ever since I created Liberty, I have been fond of her species. shrug I also like to laugh. (of coarse, who doesn't, really?)
Row 4:
Panel 10: Thylacine. I love them, and refuse to believe they are extinct. Several years ago, I had the delusion that I was going to travel to Australia and find absolute proof that they still live. So far, hasn't happened. XD; But I still believe...Anyway, I AM a fan of the Ty games, however...I will be drawing any thylacine characters I have MY way.
Panel 11: Why this species is down at the bottom, I dunno, as it is a MAJOR part of me. That's right, hedgehog. (And no, I did not draw in Sonic-style this time. I have been experimenting with my OWN style for drawing hedgies lately. I will probably continue drawing Reni in Sonic-style, as she demands that I do, but...) What can I say, I identify with them. I tend to curl up and hide when I'm feeling threatened...I hide behind a somewhat spiky exterior...that sort of thing.
Panel 12: Fennec. I am SHORT. And I love fennec ears. (No, I don't have huge ears, though XD; ) I also have extremely good hearing.(I was once able to hear one of those invisible fences...from ACROSS the STREET.) I've never tested it with a dog-whistle, but part of me believes I could hear that, and people aren't suposed to be able to. Why I drew this fennec with closed eyes, I dunno.
Well...there you have it. I have also been considering doing another one of these anthro-portrait pictures of myself using other species, but I dunno. We'll see I guess.

Neat stuff, makes for good practice to draw yourself with all sorts of faces. :) Inspiring! I am pretty short myself so I often have a lot of "overhead" blank space when i'm drawn with other characters.
And it's neat that you can hear those invisible fences!
