Jitara Warrior
Jitara Warrior by @CronoCat (Crono Cat)

This a sketch that I did in under an hour's span. I think I've started a new convention for myself; start with the head for profile and start with the legs strait on. I decided that I wasn't going to color this, just because I had no idea what the colors should be and stuff, so I'm calling it finished. It's amazing what a little bit of editing can do for a pic. Here's how I did the energy. First I drew a few vauge (but dark) curving lines on my paper, then erased them, my scanner still picked them up somewhat, which is what I wanted, I then sent the image to Adobe Photo Deluxe Business Edition 1.1. I selected the area around the sword that I wanted and used the soften effect. I went to color variations and made it look purplely. I turned up the contrast on that area. And then I used the smudge tool on it. ^_^ I bet you didn't want to hear all that... Artwork © Copyright 2003 Crono Cat

Wow, That glow is cool. I never would have thought of turning pencil smudges into a cool glow-y effect. I've gotta try that sometime.
