Burden
Burden by @pikko

September, 2023

Was in a colored pencils kick at that time, I had also brought some Prismacolors as well. Though the 12 pack of it, hence the otherwise limited color palette. I was putting a lot of effort into this, I actually planned the colors digitally ahead of time so I knew where to color it ahead of time. Plus I was trying to do composition in this, so a lot of this was attempting to actually have intentionality instead leaving it up to happenstance. Otherwise I'm still pretty happy with this.

Now to the story of this... Not much really, I wanted to get across the burden of the man was going through and by extenstion the sword.

(Wish I have a better quality picture of this, maybe when I have access to a scanner I will update this.)

Update 8/1/24: went and dug up the sketchbook where this was drawn in and got it scanned. did minor color corrections with GIMP.

Wow! This is really awesome! With every piece I look at with your gallery, it's something different and interesting and that to me makes it fun. I like the penciled texture that the colored pencil in this one. :)

@Weasel_Silver24: Thank you, that was really nice! When I try to tackle something finished, I tend to push myself in some of my weak points. Plus what use is it if I don't put what I practice into work? :)
