Frost Mane
Frost Mane by @linddavi (Lindsey Davis)

Might add a background to this eventually... Anyway, the subject here is Hrim Faxi, Tora's very own pony. The breed it's mostly based off of is the Fell Pony from Northern Britan, though the white coloring of the mane and tail wouldn't be found in that breed. Hrim's name is taken from Norse mythology. The original Hrim Faxi (or Frost Mane, as that really means) was the mighty horse of Nott, the bringer of night. Interestingly enough, Nott's affiliation was also with ice, as she was the daughter of an ice giant. Heh... the name seemed appropriate :) Artwork © Copyright 2002 Lindsey Davis
