Dartz Holding Alexander
Dartz Holding Alexander by @Lucky_Ladybug66 (Daisy Hunt)

Poor thing's all hurt. ;__; But Dartz is going to look after him. He's fond of the doppelganger. XD And Alexander just looks content to be with his father figure.

His demon wing is supposed to be folded over yet hanging limply, the way his angel wing is on the other side. Not sure if I depicted it correctly. . . .

Aww...cuddly. And fuzzy. pets the hair

The positioning of the arms is very nice, but something about Dart's legs makes him seem like he's kneeling rather than sitting with his legs folded...which would be very uncomfortable, what with the snuggly winged creature sitting on him. I think it may be the amount of leg visible below the knee. Similarly, the detail to the feathered wing is very nice but...I don't think wings can bend like that. As far as folded wings go, the upper-arm portion of the wing (the part closes to the body) would probably be pulled in vertically against the back (or horizontally against the side on a bird or gryphon or suchlike), and the forearm part of the wing (long feathers or "fingers" on a bat-type wing) would hang down at an acute angle...like ^ sort of, but a smaller angle....and the forearm parts could curl around a little, to cover the body, for protection of warmth...and if this makes any sense to anyone but me, I'll be very much surprised ^_^;;;;

I think my favorite part of the picture is Dartz's eyes...they really stand out, and were the first thing I noticed when the picture loaded.

XD Yes, I knew the wings definitely did not look correct. ponders over the suggestions. Perhaps there are books with pictures of wings that I could examine....

If you're interested, I found these sites to be pretty useful:

For dragon/bat-style wings: http://neondragonart.com/dp/tutorials/wing.htm

For angel-bird-style wings: http://neondragonart.com/dp/tutorials/bird.htm

They explain the basic anatomy, and a few different poses for each wing style.
