Gentleman cambrioleur by @Demented_Rabbit (demented rabbit)

"Yours very sincerly Arsene Lupin"

This is what he would write at the back of his calling card. The title is in French: Gentleman thief. Haven't drawn him in so long. Decided to do this quickly and just color even though I messed up a bit and there should be more to the cape. But I'm satisfied enough with this first try in a long while. Based on the series called "Nighthood". Still love the books originally, though the series were much fun; how I miss it. Damn you sexy thief!! :D Why must you be so damn charming?? -lol- Just for fun, I've found some info about the series of books that the animated series was based upon; more or less.

==

Gentleman thief Arsene Lupin, is everything you would expect from a French aristocrat or at least manages to impersonate one; he is witty, charming, brilliant, sly, and possibly the greatest thief in the world; he generally concentrates his efforts on robbing those who deserve it, or in his opinion.

Police have trouble tracking him, one in particular, Inspector Ganinmard, and he even matched wits with Herlock Shomes (renamed as to avoid copyright problems) Although he was on the other side of the law, he was clearly a force for good, and those he defeated, always with characteristic gallic style and panache, were worse villains than he. In other words, Lupin was the Simon Templar of early 20th century France.

There were twenty volumes in the Lupin series written by Leblanc, and five sequels written by the notorious mystery writing team of Boileau-Narcejac, better known for Diabolique.

Lupin has been adapted for film several times, including adaptations in 1909, 1916, 1917,1932, and recently 2004.

A cartoon series inspired by the Lupin novels was produced by Cinar for television audiences in both English and French-speaking nations. The series aired in Canada in 1996 under the English-language title "Night Hood", and in francophone markets as "Les Aventures d'Arsene Lupin."

I did take some excerpts from a few sites to fully explain. Those of you who thought this was going to be about Lupin the III, I do apologize. -lol- This is about the original character and not the "fictional" grandson of his. Thank you.

Very nice drawing. I really like the colors, they stand out quite nicely, he looks very charming. Just a little tip: his chin is a bit narrow, but otherwise it`s a excelent drawing. Great job! ^_~
