Sophie the Pomeranian
Sophie the Pomeranian by @emilu (Emily H)

My family adopted our first dog a couple of years ago. Her name is Sophie, and she's a black Pomeranian. I've never loved an animal like I love Sophie. I make little doodles of her all the time, but I've never really made a serious attempt to draw her. I decided to remedy that. I wanted to do something kind of stylistic and cartoony, and I tried out a couple of new techniques while I was coloring. I'm very pleased with the end result.

Very cute. Nice use of the smudge brush, the fur is portrayed really well, really fluffy. The expression and face in general is really cute, and overall it's very nicely drawn and shaded. Adorable.

Such a cutie! ^^ I like how you did her markings, and the fur texture came out really well: very soft-looking. I hope she's as big a sweetheart IRL as she looks to be in this pic!

I am a huge Pomeranian fan, and Sophie is quite beautiful! Well done -- I love the cartoon look especially. It fits very well with the Pom's personality.

Great work!
