Ulises
Ulises by @xfkirsten (Kirsten Wahlquist)

This is an acrylic painting I did of my favorite SeaWorld killer whale, Ulises! I worked on this one over winter break, when I had nothing to do but draw, paint, and watch TV. ;) Artwork © Copyright 2002 Kirsten Wahlquist

Seriously, every time I go through the W names and look at all the sample images, I look at the thumbnail of this and think: A real live orca! It also makes me really thirsty...that water looks so clear...xD Great job on this,

I love the graphic, shapey way you did the water, and the bricks under the water. Lovely colors, too!

Soooo cute! I love the water, it's stylized and realistic looking at the same time. Really makes you feel like you're there and seeing it moving and flowing. The orca is also wonderfully rendered. Did you use a photo? It really does look fantastic. Good work!
