Random Bandit Encounter
Random Bandit Encounter by @Roadstripe (CyberCorn Entropic)

Domino knew Damian's sense of direction stunk, but he didn't expect it would mean their next random bandit encounter would have some -- fuzzier -- aspects.

My end of an art trade with Jinx of her two human characters Damian (the woman) and Domino (the man) battling bandits with some unexpected attributes.

snerk The description makes it. Again, very nice action and emotion in this scene, and I like the way you painted the background, too. The simplicity of the mountains works well. It's also interesting to see Domino's sword in action, as it were. Which, by the way, you did an excellent job portraying. Thanks again, it was a pleasure doing this trade with you and I really like this image.

Thank you for the comment. Interesting descriptions are something I see with a number of pictures I like, so I'm trying to add some into the mix where appropriate. It's a simple background. If you look closely (especially at the snow in the mountains), you'll see much of the detail is just scribbles I've blurred into something that works. I hit upon the random bandit encounter precisely because it would show action and emotion, something which tells a story more than mere posing. It also had the benefit of allowing me to throw in Crowfeather, which I thought you might like. I like your part of the trade as well, and I'm glad I was able to come up with something you liked. :)

Very nice picture, I like the poses in action, and how you did with the colors. Excelent job! ^_^

Thank you for the comment.

I kept an eye on how the colors went with each other, but the squirrel was the tough one to fit in, what with his red fur and Damian's red dress.

At first, the background was much brighter, so much so that the characters were lost in it. I fixed that by making the background grayer, to mimic the effects of atmospheric graying.
