Bess
Bess by @elizrobe (Elizabeth Roberts)

I was pretty obsessed with a poem called "The Highway Man" at the beginning of the year. This is a rendering of Bess, the Landlord's daughter, as I pictured her. I love the eyes. I must have re-drawn them three times trying to make them perfect. Graphite pencil. Artwork © Copyright 2002 Elizabeth Roberts
