Woooo! That's a very colorful kitty!! Very creative pic, I love how you did the fur ^.^ Tis gorgeous! Keep up the good work!

Ok, ok, I admit; I like this. And I'll tell ya why: First, you pulled off the strangecolor effect REALLY well; the colors look like a natural part of the cat, rather than someone's experiment at seeing of Manic Panic colors work on fur. Second, the colors really add to the mystery of the cat's pose; the colors make the cat look that much more magical, dramatic, and compelling. Third, the colors again, add to the (almost stormy) mood that you've set in the background.

It's just...really compelling. It's unexpected. No, you probably wouldn't want to do portraits this way (and those other cat pieces you have--they do look like portraits someone would hire you to paint, and that's alwaysa legit form of art!), but it makes for a really interesting experiment--equally legitimate.
