well with her hair i first take a few partace strokes to get my hand to make light and even lines. but i decided where i want the highlights and then start from the outter sections of her hair and do strokes in toward the highlights. when the brush/pen gets toward the highligh i lighted the pressure so that it 'feathers' together.
I love seeing people who still use colored pencil -- especially those who use it well! I especially love the shading of her wings and hair! Your ink work is very nice also -- that's always the hardest part for me -- and your sense of anatomy is great... also a very hard thing to pull off! Your use of color is spare but effective, the pose is nicely dynamic, and even her positioning in the frame is neat! I admit, the drawing looked simple at first, but there are a lot of things done well here. Nice job!
