This was inspired by the Serendipity series of children's books (though I haven't set eyes on a copy in years.) And a small contribution was this dragon candle I had years ago of an emerald-green dragon coming out of an egg (it had red eyes.) Prismacolor pencils & markers.

What an adorable little critter! I remember seeing those Serendipity books and my cousin had the movie of it. Very cute and sweet, and the eggshell around it adds a bit of charm. Shading is simple, but not sloppy. A lovely piece of work!
