So they fiddled around with the ident, Yorkshire style. The dragon head sits more comfortably in the triangle, and HTV was fine with that despite the flame still missing.

This was also the last identity under the Teledu Cymru branding - the Cymrag name had been in declining importance after S4C, and "HTV Teledu Cymru" proved to be short-lived. Under the 1990 Broadcasting Act, North Wales and Western England were combined into a single franchise region - one that HTV won narrowly against other competitors. Teledu Cymru's operations were soon merged with HTV West's, seen on screen as one after 1993.
