Hanyou
Hanyou by @PsychoGirl (Lisa Williams)

Well, at school in the Anime Club, the VP went along and gave everyone a lil' assignment to do (yay, I can always use more assignments. o.O;;) and that was to draw ourselvs as what we would want to be if we could be Hanyou's (From Inuyasha.... Hanyou=half demon. ^_^) So someone suggested I did Guya as a Hanyou... and I attempted to throw in a corss between me and Guya and I tried to find a way to combine two VERY different styes of clothes- African and medevil japanese closthes...

So I looked through my art research books, flipped through a magazines on Japanese clothes and looked through a few websites with African culture and myths and studied the costuming for Lion King Broadway... having put those together and all the while trying to maintain Guya's personality as well as her roll in life, I got this. o_O;

Yes, Guya is a bit of a hippie... I aged her a few years. If she were human in the cubby piccys I put up here she'd be roughly 8-10 years old asa human child. ^_^

I had a real fun cultural expierence researching inspiration, that's for sure. O_o;; Oh, just to let you know, the silver thing that looks like a leaf arounf her neck is called the "Silver feather"- Symbol the huntresses would wear. The two feathers in her hair with the black tips represent that she is highly trained in the ways of fighting and could be a warrior. The number of feathers would determine the roll of the lion/lioness. Yaye, just a little insight on my world in Guya's sotry. It's very tribal, and by Hanyou Guya's costuming, you can tell. Since I did throw in part of my own image in there, I dunno if I wanna name the Hanyou "Lessiah" as a combination of both my name (Lisa) and Guya.... o.O

I was at first a little worried to show this to my friends at school since their Hanyou characters all had full japanese clothes where as mine was VERY different but I said what the hey. I didn't do all the research for nothin', right? Besides, it's FUN to break the norm. =D

Sorry, I ramble too much when I'm tired. =D Okay,I think I'm done. ^-^
