Zim, GIR, and Minimoose by @tarysand (Taryn Sanders)
This is for my friend Peter, a very cool guy who gives me tons of inside info about Invader ZIM ^_~ He wanted a pic of these three, so I just wiggled my nose, crossed my arms, and blinked, and POOF! This gears more towards Jhonen's way of drawing you'll probably notice, and it actually has a real background drawn in! (gasp!) Man, I love drawing Minimoose ^^ He's really just an oval with eyes, a mouth, little nub legs and antlers, I mean how simple is that to draw? ^-^ One more thing... I'm trying really hard to crack down on all my requests, so to those who are still waiting I appologize for taking so long, but I'm going to try as hard as I can to get all of those done here soon. Once more, thanks for all your patience ^^ Artwork © Copyright 2002 Taryn Sanders

This is really good. It's nice how in style you are.
I'd like to point out that most of the annimation business is mimicing someone elses style. All the IZ staff in Korea had to mimic it and the colleges incourage it too. If you can mimic styles really good you can become the lead art desiner and cool positions like that. Taryn does a great job at not just Mimicing the shows style but Jhonen's original style as well. There are some bit differences but they are to small to stand out (i'm a pikky perfectionist but I'm not perfect either).
Boy, I know this is a comment to you Taryn but I was bothered by what the other people had said about loseing creativity mimicing other peoples stlyes. If you can master six other peoples styles (like PPG or Spongebob, Simposons or southpark) and still create your own uniqe style, I'd say you are a extordinary artist (not that you already aren't).
Thank you ^^ I've heard Jhonen has said that the people who get jobs working for Invader ZIM are the ones who can mimic his style, so that's what I go for (even though it seems pointless now since I'll never be able to work for the show : P), but the people who follow my art know that I can do other styles too. I want to get into animation so, yeah, I have to practice drawing what I see and getting the various styles down, but I still try to be creative with everything. I appreciate the other person's constructive critisism since you get better by fixing mistakes, but I also have to point out that mimicking other's styles is what makes it in the animation business. So thanks for pointing that out for me Annie-Mae ^^
This is so perfect and precise its beyond belief!! I absolutely adore it!!! and trust me, your ability to perfectly replicate a style is something to DEFINITELY be proud of-its raw talent like yours that makes animation the living art form it is-keep up the tremendous work...hope to work with ya one day! ^.~
I like this, yes I admit it's very good. However, what I don't like about it is that it looks TOO MUCH like Jhonen's style. It's too easy to lose creativity if you practice somebody else's style too often. ^^; Like I said before tho, it's really good! It's cool! Zim rules! =P
