Thanks! I was a bit worried about smudging up all that detail, but I had to do it if I wanted it to look ethereal. Glad to hear it worked in the end!

Simply gorgeous, this is a painting that definitely tells a story. Loving the atmosphere, very peaceful and mysterious and the trees are excellent!

That was exactly what I was going for - so, thank you! :D

This is so gorgeous. I love how the dragon looks so old, and wise--as ancient as the trees that surround her. I'm almost expecting her to lift her head and look at me--seriously! Your use of lighting is absolutely amazing. This is gorgeous.

Thank you! :D

Lighting is always tricky - still not sure I got this completely right, but your comment is very encouraging! :)

Glad to hear that the painting is 'speaking' to you - I was rather hoping it'd do just that, of course, but some paintings are stubbornly mute - and you never know until you unleash it onto the world!

Lovely job, dear! The colors add to the fantasy atmosphere. And your trees are so well done...

At first, the dragon blended into the meadow, for me, but I think I like it that day. (hugs her.)

I LOVES those colours. :D Seriously. The happiest part was globbing on the blue paint at the very beginning! glee

Those trees took quite a long time and while I didn't exactly hate them, I sure wished for them to be done soon...so, 'tis marvellous that you like them - means that the work was not in vain! :D

I tell ya, if you'd worried about detail, the piece wouldn't be as relaxing. The colors and light remind me of sitting in the shade after being out in the sun for a while.

It's also cool how you first notice the craggy, sharp trees, and then furhter down is all the soft grass and flowers, the sleeping dragon...

Very pretty. :) And not generic-pretty, either.
