Give Peace a Chance
Give Peace a Chance by @dark_persian (Donna)

Please forgive the sheer stupidity of this picture! Allow me to explain, I’m in the middle of reading ‘The Two Towers’ for the second time and noticed that in the chapter ‘Helms Deep’ there’s a line that reads “Aragorn and Legolas went now with Eomer in the van”. I realise that Tolkien meant “van” to mean “vanguard” (the front of an advancing army…if you want a dictionary definition) but it conjured the stupidest mental image of them all jumping in the back of a van! I told my brother and he joked that it would have to be a hippie van because of all the longhaired men in it! ^_^

Anyway, again my apologies. It was one of those ‘I just HAVE to draw that!’ pictures. Wai! Viva la 70s!

(Note: I in NO way support AxL pairings. I just couldn’t be bothered to add in Eomer because…I couldn’t be bothered! lazy snort)

Mwah ha ha! They should star in the movie '8 Mile' with Eminem, only change the title to 8 Miles High! Mwah ha ha ha! Sorry 'bout the lame joke, couldn't resisit ^^' I noticed that when I read the book as well, I also noticed that somewhere in my version, the word 'Hobbit' was replaced with Hoppit. O.o anyway, great piccie, BUT ARAGORN AND LEGOLAS ARE STILL DAMN HUNKY!! hugs them and runs off with them

I printed out, and took this piccy to school. All my friends just loved it. How couldn't they? Not only is the whole idea funny, the drawing is wonderful, the background, the clothes, the expressions are perfect. Just perfect. Plus, who doesn't love legolas? ;D

Lol! This picture is so....so brilliant! The detail is amazing! I love their hippy clothes, and Legolas expression is so cute! You've warped my fragile little mind now! When I get to this part in the book (almost there! ^_^) I'm gonna think of this picture! It's nice to know we have such an amazing artist homegrown, all the artists seem to come from America (or is it just me o.O') Great artwork, I can't wait to see more!
