Very charming indeed! This resembles those old style painting from long ago where the subject would sit and pose while s/he was being painted. In this, Sesshoumaru comes off as being quite the fatherly figure, with sweet little Rin being her adorable little self. I saw this pic a good while ago before it was colored, and i love it just as much now as I did then! You are a master with color, shading and lighting usage. Never let go of those precious talents.
