RPG Reflections by @lynne (Lynne)
Well after much hideous amounts of ado with my headvoices of... myself.. :D;; .. I drew this in skool today. These two are both aspects of me but they're both me that live in seperate realities. The one on the left is from the castle RP. The one on the right is from the regular RP that's been going on for more than a year now. Both RP-mes have a Dragon side, and a Misik side, but they're both really, really, different in many ways.
Castle RP-me leads the perfect life. She travels, she plays fiddle on rooftops and spreads music and love to all the surrounding villages, and then she comes back to the castle, where she has a loving albeit half spectral family of 'ghost' and son, as well as many friends.
RP-me in the regular RP, comparatively, is a wreck! O.o She's been taking care of a little Soldier for ever and ever and has managed to get him to feel things and care about others, but she's also somewhat emotionally dependant on him and vice versa. She's attached, if you will, overprotective.. she feels responsible for him, and besides that, she's addicted to his music. Also, regular RP-me is badly affected by the whims and desires of her past life, Misik, and has no idea how to cut loose from them. She's doing what she can but she regularly feels very trapped and can't get away.
You might notice that RP-me looks a little different.. besides dressing differently, anyway. She has streaks of white in her hair, and her face is covered in scars. That was the result of a self-destructive promise kept that went way too far. There are many parts of herself she hates, namely the human part. It was the Dragon's rage that did THAT to her, which can be a powerful thing when let loose. She kept the scars as a reminder but I think they make her feel even more trapped sometimes. o.o
Anyway, this is the two Lynnes of two different RP-lands :D
In terms of technique, I actually shaded this in negative with pen in my sketchbook and then reversed it on the computer and colored bits of it. Making highlights black is really confusing :D;; Artwork © Copyright 2003 Lynne Stephenson
Wow. o.o I had not thought about it, but the two RP-you's really are super different, huh? ^.^ I love both of them. You did a really good job conveying the basic feelings that seem to associate with both. O.o You are too good with expressions. Too good. And the negatizing with pen is just amazingily cool. u.u hugs both RP-Lynnes and all other Lynnes there are in existance
