My inking pen got a workout in this piece. It started out rather simple, but then it started to expand into a full background with the full compliment of bushes, ferns, water, cat-tails, and of course trees... EVIL trees. I can not describe how bored I am when I'm drawing trees, even these quick, high-contrast, simplified trees.

Anyways I can't take credit for the whole "comic-panel" background idea. I remember an artist I used to know (think she used the alias "Technokat" and had the last name "Majors", not sure though) used that idea in a piece she did. I'd like to give some credit there.
