This is my first atempt at drawing a semi-realistic pic (with the exception of the hair)- with pretty good results. I'd say that this is a major improvement for me.

Very nice! The shading is well done. I like the hair too! The mixture of realistic and non-realistic features works well here. In the future, you may want to pay more attention to the mouth area. The cupid's bow is slanted more outwards. Just a suggestion. =) Great job overall! Keep up the good work!
