Another cutie-poo! His face, especially his eyes, remind me of Link from Wind Waker... I like the round shinies in his hair, and I like how you can see his eye through his hair, yet you still colored the hair! The fluff (???) on his sword is a neat, and detailed, touch! Looking forward to seeing more of this guy, and your art!
He Came From the Sky! The Hero Named Alastor by @Darrow (Darrow)
Wow, I'm pumped up. After many, many sketches and nearly filling half a sketchpad in a few days, I'm coming around to finalizing a lot of different story concepts, which brings us to one of many...Alastor.
At this point any ideas for story and such are still in progress, but it's possible Alastor may become a staple character for this new style. I instantly grew fond of the design and I'm planning on doing more with it, but for now this is good enough.
I've been trying new things with Photoshop, but for the most part, I find that there's just too much I don't know to tackle what I have in mind all at once, so maybe one step at a time. In any case, a more bold, cel style seemed to click more with this picture than the airbrush/cel shading I did on the last. Perhaps in time I'll mix the two together just right, but I'm actually partial to the bold style for the most part. In anycase, I'm just glad to be finishing pictures again.
Seeing this picture makes me think of some 2-inch tall Japanese plastic action figure. Really interesting style indeed. I love the roundness of the shine on the hair, that's really striking and works well with the general style you have going here. It's cute. Nice work.
