Rui of the Frozen Water
Rui of the Frozen Water by @Lyrae (Alison Didzena)

XD yes... finished finally. Some parts look off for some reason o.o I swear it looked fine when i saved it... Rui can control the amount of heat/energy in water and can also use telekinesis to move it. She's magical too. So thats why she's all icy... The wings are mystery to me though ^~ mistakes from lineart are still there. oh well. ^_^

The detail and lighting effects are amazing. I wish I had the patience for it.

The wings are different than any I've ever seen before, and I love that about them. People far too readily use the most common styles, and don't try anything different. Can't grow as an artist that way!

Overall, it's a spectacular picture. Good work!

Yes, I am alive. I'm very sorry I haven't been really keeping up with commenting on your art--it's definetly not that your art has stopped being beautiful, mind you, I've just been a bit busy. So please, please, I humbly beg your forgiveness.

Your lineart has gotten much cleaner, but you haven't lost your delicate knack for faces and details. I am really adoring her outfit--the skirt is SO AWESOME. I love how it looks like it's freezing, like big particles of ice, or stained glass without the stain, if you know what I mean. The lines on that are really remarkable.

The wings are very, very creative! Again, they remind me of ice--you've really carried this theme very well! The lines with the tiny beads on them remind me of spiderwebs drenched in dew. So, overall, this is an absolutely excellent character design.

The composition is very well thought out, as well. The black frame helps to freeze the moment in time, and her pose truly does look suspended in a split second between stillness and movement. I love the misty effect, and the background is mysterious enough to be curious, but not so much that it's distracting.

The only things I can suggest is to work on arms a little more--hers looks a little thick right around the elbow. Other than that, the anatomy, shading, and everything seem really, really well done. Man, do I need to take a trip through your gallery...

Nice, very intricate, but not overdone either.
