It's an amusing contrast between this pic and the one before it. Zack's hair is relatively tame in the other one, and here it's trying to take on a life of its own.

The red on his face is deliberate, and not a blush. This is a scene from So Long and Goodnight, and Zack has been poisoned, though at this point he doesn't realize it.
