For those of you that have not read The Black Gryphon, this is he himself, by name of Skandranon, pondering how to make his body temperature go down so he'd be fertile. Indeed, that was quite the dilemma, until one of his human friends cheerfully suggested that, instead of sleeping for days to cool down, maybe he should just sit on a block of ice before the mating flight?

I laughed so hard when I read that passage...and I like how his expression came out. Frankly, I'm amazed I managed to do it at all. It's not often I practice drawing gryphs, let alone a put out gryph sitting on a block of ice. sighs Ah, good times, good times.
