I love this picture! It's like a really good contrasts between two very different types of Sonic characters. Not to mention it's funny too!

Aww, isn't that kawaii? XP Yes, there is a story behind this. A while back, Brian sent me a doujunshi (fan manga) pic of Sesshoumaru and Rin (from Inuyasha), which is basically what I took the pose of this pic from. =P I think even before I saw that pic, I thought a sort of bond between Shadow and Cream would be so ironically cute. (no, I'm not talking about Shadow X Cream. >.> Sickos...) So then I got inspired to make a Shadow and Cream version of the Sesshoumaru and Rin pic. =P I had been wanting to draw this for some time, but I haven't had any time to draw stuff like this, because my drawing class has taken up so much time (ironically enough). But for our last assignment of the semester, he basically told us to do an ink wash drawing of whatever we wanted. So I drew this in pencil first (very precisely... used a compass and everything @.@), then inked it with a quill pen (which bled in a couple of spots >.>;), then painted it in black ink washes (went over the lines with the brush too). In total it took about 10 hours, I think. o.o; I was actually supposed to do three 3-hour assignments, but I spent so much time on this one... >.>;; Overall, I'm fairly pleased with the result. ^_^ I think its very cute, and it has a very photo-ish feel. I attempted to use the SA style of shading when I painted it, but I'm not sure how well that worked. Maybe Cream's a bit out of character... but meh. >.> Lastly, the concept of this pic and my desire to write some sort of Christmas story has inspired me to write one about Shadow and Cream! I uploaded the first chapter of it to my ff.net account, which you can find a link to in my bio. It's titled "Sweet and Sour." It's not finished yet, because my train of thought is easily derailed (especially by Sonic Heroes @.@). But it will be! Eventually...
lol! that's cute! iv'e seen some pix simaller to this before... it's funny!
