I was sketching Ents (I do this from time to time...lol) for a storyboard for Imaging & Design (aka Photography)
Here we have (top) Treebeard and Quickbeam and (bottom) an Entwife.

Pretty cool designs, there. I like your tightly outlined features combined with the gentle pencil shading.
Seems to me the ears are a little too close to the front of the face, in that profile view. Nudging them back would help with the realism, I think. http://www.anticz.com has some nice head proportion tutorials, with measurements, since you seem to work well with those sorts of things.
