Soundsoft Elvy
Soundsoft Elvy by @laursefc (Lauren Sefchik)

Well, this is me in semi-chibi, elven anime format. My friend Athena and I plan to create a cosplay webpage (as well as I plan to build a resume webpage) with our own stylized characters of ourselves. This is what I look like (sorta) through my eyes.

The reason why I have the name Elvy was because my friend Jill wrote a short story somewhat based on her life. A character by the name of Elvy was in there who was supposed to depict myself in it. Jill has great intuition on the types of names I like, and therefor, I adopted this name for myself because I TONS of nicknames, but none of them were people who weren't copywritten anime characters. ^_^* The Soundsoft part came from when I was signing up for Audiogalaxy. Unfortunately, Elvy was already taken...so I added the Softsound part, but when I signed up for a Live Journal (and an Email account), I accidently mixed the two words around and came up with Soundsoft instead. I like them either way, but this is my official nickname for myself that I hope to have for a very long time.

I also drew this picture in the last few living days of my grandfather who passed away on April 16th of this year. I made a build-a-bear for him that he loved to death (so much that he ran the voice recording inside of it completely in only 2 months). The bear was supposed to be a replica of me with my school life, so I put pictures of my artistic accomplishments including this image with several personal messages to him within the bear and sealed it away in the coffin with him before they entombed him. (I'm writing this for personal memories)

Anyway, regular sketch scanned in and simply colored in Photoshop. (I'm starting to get used to this system of coloring better now that I have my Wacom tablet and a lot of projects that just deem themselves easier to create through Photoshop). Artwork © Copyright 2002 Lauren Sefchik
