Southern Paradise Flower
Southern Paradise Flower by @laursefc (Lauren Sefchik)

Another High School sketch that turned into a full-blown colored pencil, marker, watercolor manipulation, and nail polish extravaganza. Of course, you can't see the nail polish part in scans because they don't show up.

After I tested out my free-hand copy skillz with Ikijima Kiiro from Iczelions, I wanted to find a median that would give off a shiney or glossy look. Since I was still dumb of all knowledge of gloss paint, etc...I used what I had TONS of...but because I bite my nails...never used....NAILPOLISH!

Minami's eyes were coated with clear to give that special realistic wetness to them. Then I took the 'Fireworks' color (clear with mainly silver glitter with some color glitter mixed in) and did all of her hair in Fireworks.

My friends, to this day, sit there and tilt the picture from side to side. The other added bonus was that the picture would end up being sealed from damage. ^_^* Two unexpected pluses in one.

Oh yea...SHE'S NEKKID!! With absolutely NO graphic detail other than peach blob of 'breast' from a side perspective. Yes, I was (and I still think I am) a non-existant designer of clothes. And when I was initially sketching this, I didn't expect it to actually end up being colored, so I was like "Yea...whatever...just make the hair look purdy." Artwork © Copyright 2002 Lauren Sefchik
