Your choice of colors is wonderful. I wish I had a better eye for that sort of thing. All the pastels really go with her being a fairy and all, and her sweet expression. I noticed that her arms, particularly her right arm, seem disproportionate, though. She has a normal-sized waist and large arms. Hmm, what else . . . Unless her skirt is split up the middle front, the arc of the bottom hem wouldn't stop where it does now (near her ankle); it would continue up to her knee. Not sure if that's what you wanted or not. ^^ The background is neat in its simplicity, but it's not bland or lazy (like how I make backgrounds :P). And lastly, I love the aura effect. I'm gonna hafta try something like that sometime.

Fairy, faerie, close enough. Anyway, this was a really big art trade with my mentor Maki. ^_^ it turned out so excellent. I also put this into my portfolio and it got ranked the best of my 2d anime-styled work. Artwork © Copyright 2003 Bryan Costello

First off, congratulations on being Artist of the Day! Chiyojo gave all the critique I could possibly give you, so I will just say I love the colors, the pose and the glow effect--the sparkles in particular are very nice. She's a cutie. :) I should go check out even more of your gallery since you are Artist of the Day, ne?
