Ascent to the liquid sky, fixed & colored
Ascent to the liquid sky, fixed & colored by @Ian (Jan Ahuis)

T(N) - Artistic nudity. I fixed the errors I made and gave it a coloring. She is floating in water not blue soda pop.I tried to be a bit more bold in my shading. This is more about coloration and shading than about anatomy.

This is definetly really beautiful. NO, it doesn't look like she's in blue soda pop! I really love the soft shading on this. And the title just ROCKS. Her peaceful expression is so beautiful.

Wow, great job on this, I really like the uplifted expression, the pose, and the general floatiness in, uh, general. O_o (Blue soda pop? XD ) The anatomy looks great and the markings are really interesting, only thing I can point out is that her feet look a little too small for her body heh =) But other than that, great job. =D

Ah, a truly peaceful picture, just luking at it. That's a great effect you caused, be proud :D

I think people have alread pointed out the mite problems in this picture, so I don't need to do that. The angle of which she is floating is nice, I really like her expression. The spot pattern is nice on her fur, overall your character is cool, drawn right, just certain things out of preportion. Nice artwork ;)

Ooooo, pretty, and no it doesn't look like she's floating around in blue soda pop.

^_^

I like it too, no to the blue soda pop and yeah ...

I know that you said it's more about coloration and shading and stuff but I think the positions of the hands needs to change ... it doesn't look exactly right.

But I still really like it, it's very awesome!

Wow, a very nice Anthro. One of the better one's I've seen around here. Her exspression is also very well done. Great job!

Arms seem a little stiff though

Thanks ! The stiffness is a general problem I have when drawing characters. Only extensive pratice will fix that I guess.

This is very beautiful, The coloring, shading, and proportions, everything that i can think of on this is done almost perfectly. Even the water looks very well done, nothing at all like soda. I also like how you did the paw thing on the hands, not everybody does that when doing these types of drawings. Well, good luck with future work.

Sincerely, Ikaika

Oooo, pretty. I don't normally like furry humanoid pics, but this is certainly an exception. She's so lovely!

Posted: Monday, 21 June, 2004 @ 04:45 PM

I agree about her feet, perhaps more human feet would be better or at least a less soft and more severe feet. I think her legs are a bit short since they're supposed to be half the height... uh... of a human i mean. And the arms could sway back a little for more drama and flow not that this picture is lacking any of it or course. But for the hands they should be relaxed. The fingers of a relaxed hand curve inward slightly. I love that u went a bit bolder on shading! It's great and i think I need to be bolder with shading to.

LOVELY! I see why you made this your sample picture. The lineart and colouring are awsome, the expression makes it seem so beautiful. Its a bit weird for a cat to be enjoying water, but its an anthro, and it could be a special cat ^^; I can't point out anything wrong with this picture, its so great!

well the shadding on her skin is absolutely incredible and the rays of light comming into the water... GREAT JOB! KEEP IT UP!
