Gabry Ponte- The Man in the Moon
Gabry Ponte- The Man in the Moon by @tarysand (Taryn Sanders)

More pix of my three favorite guys ^^ or in this case just one out of the three, but Gabry deserves his own special picture since he released a solo album just recently. He's still a part of Eiffel 65, but he produced and mixed his own album and wrote all new songs, so this is my tribute to his solo project and my way of saying good luck to him. And the reason for the moon thing is because my new favorite song is entitled 'The Man in the Moon,' and it's featured on his album, so it's also an homage to that. I swear it is SUCH a beautiful song!! Jeffrey Jey from E65 does the vocals for it too, and I swear this man's voice when it's not run through the vocorder brings tears to my eyes. I mean my God! When he hits that high note I just lose it completely ^_^ Honestly, this song makes me cry it's just so gorgeous, and Jeffrey sings it so amazingly. If you haven't heard this man sing then go right now to Morpheus or something and download this song!! I wish I could have had Jeffrey in the picture somehow (after all, he's mostly the reason I love this song so much, no one could have sung it better), but it's on Gabry's album and he wrote the song, so I'll just give Gabry his time to shine ^-^ Artwork © Copyright 2002 Taryn Sanders

Yes...my new fav. song as well! Ever since i downloaded that entire solo cd (as well as contact..=3) i instantly loved "Man in the Moon." For some odd reason, it reminds me of Peter Gabriel (which is cool, because my guy, David, simply loves Gabriel stuff), but by no means is it a pose off of Gabriel's stuff. And i totally agree with you with the one high note near the end, when the tempo goes into half-time. Its just sooo moving...i swear the first time i heard Jeffrey Jey sing this, i was like "his voice is so deep and soothing..." I simply melt by this song, and i'm so happy that we share this common love for Eiffel 65!!

God, i'm such a retard...i forgot to say anything about the image when i commented...lol...what can i say? I'm listening to the song right now! Anyway, i love how you've jus subtly implied the features of Gabry's face in this piece of artwork, as well as slightly make the image of his face curve outwards, so it actually looks like his face is in the moon. That lends the face to look a little warped (but not in a bad way), especially around the left side of his mouth...i love it...everything about it! Gah! I need to draw more!!!
