Unsolicited Fate
Unsolicited Fate by @yamaneko (Jaycee Kerr)

Huzzah, symbolism-fest! This was a pain to work on, yet oddly satisfying. The original is 11X14, so it was a little difficult to scan, but I think I managed to piece it together fairly well.

I'd really love to hear anyone's interpretation of this picture. Maybe I'll post my own later...?

Four pens died for this picture, and six pens are in the hospital now. Poor pens. Artwork © Copyright 2003 Jaycee Kerr

Well.. obviously it symbolizes Yin and Yang, good and evil. the straps that hold the good one's mouth portrays how peaceful it is and the strips of paper on the horn indicates that it's spiritual. The cracking of the floor under it's feet puzzle me though... and I also notice the bell in the good one's claws. I forgot what the significants of that lol... I;m guessing this is in a temple... I don't think it's Oriental in anyway so it must be located else wear in the world... preferably Europe. The goblin in the midle (guessing it is) I think is caught in between the two... I notice that one side of the cape is up just like Dracula does that gives the goblin a sinister look to it while the other hand is down. Also the Black dragon has a metallic underside. To me this is portraying the evils of technology. The skill on it's head is death... but then they both have it... all the way back with the sign is heaven and hell combined as one. but the cracking on the floor... I wonder....
