Dragon Herzeleid
Dragon Herzeleid by @evlohyze (Evloret Hyzenthlay)

This is the son of Champagne (no piccie yet) and Dragon Daddy Without a Name. See, Dragon Daddy had an affair with Champagne and ended up having the resulting child plopped on the doorstep of his lair one day, a note attatched to a string around his neck that read "His name is Herzeleid. He's your son, you take care of him." Does this mean Champagne is an uncaring mommy? Wait and see in the story that will never be written! (tm)

Anyway, Herzeleid is the German word for heartache. A fitting name for him, as you can imagine. In this picture, he's only a juvenile, mostly because he won't grow up until later on in the story. Those little stubs of spikes on his shoulders and tail will eventually become full-blown bone blades, the better to eviscerate with, my dear. Not like he would, anyway. He's very shy and submissive, probably because his dad is so mean. He's one day planning to travel with Lorenz (see Lorenz's picture for more info) to search for his mom. Until his wings grow a bit more, he's stuck running around playing pranks on the local human villages with Lorenz. Good enough, huh. Artwork © Copyright 2002 Evloret Hyzenthlay
