Rowan's Sorrow
Rowan's Sorrow by @Cacopheny (Abigail Oliver)

The mature rating is just me being safe. You can't see anything, rather like the pic of Gayle and baby Rowan a ways down the page. But I just figured I'd be safe ::shrugs::

I am very pleased with how this turned out. Rowan looks sufficiently sad, the coloring is nice and smoothe, though his wings look a little funky. The angle was difficult. But, all in all, I'm happy ^^

Rowan's mine.

Very nice work, Gayle. You've definately got the knack for portraying emotions in a subtle manner. I especially like (or would 'appreciate' be a better word in this case?) the little marks on his palm from clenching his fist. That's a little bit of detail I'd think most people wouldn't think to put in, but it works well here. Only critique is that I think he looks a bit emaciated around the belly/sixpack/whatever-you'd-call-it. I think because of all the darker shading there. But otherwise, marvellous work! ^_^
