Mai Valentine - By Me
Mai Valentine - By Me by @Samantha_Lynn (Samantha Lynn)

Whoo! Back again after a very long dry spell! It's not that I haven't been drawing, it's just that I haven't gotten a chance to get to the computer to finish anything! And here's a record - I drew and inked and colored this new pic all in one evening after getting home from New Jersey. ^_^

This is my first piece of Anime-Fanart in a long time. For a while, I felt like I'd never be good enough for the Japanese style so I sort of gave up. Then I started watching "Yu-Gi-Oh" and I thought to myself, "I really love that style - if only I could draw like that."

So I went for it. I printed out a few pics of Mai Valentine, my favorite character, and just by looking off of then, came up with this! Not bad for a first try, eh??

I'm really happy with the way this came out - so expect to see more of the Yu-Gi-Oh gang in my archive soon!! Until then, enjoy! ^_~

Hey, that's really cool! I love how you drew her eyes, and your CGing is kick-butt. ^^ (Draw Joey! XDDD)

Yeah! More anime art! This pic is awesome. I didn't like Mai at first but she really grew on me. I really like this picture, she has a great pose and nice coloring. I hope to see more of your art soon!
