This is AMAZING. Simply AMAZING. Your shading is correct, the pose, the texture, it’s all wonderful. I could probably go on for hours about how great this picture is-- it’s so realistic. However, let me make some reverential criticism, after all, where is an artist, if all they receive is praise? One: The right eye seems somewhat larger then the left, although I’m guessing that just has to do with location and proportion and all that other jazz. Two: The shading on the concave skin in the corner of her left eye seems too darkly shaded, and makes it stand out slightly. Other then these things, I really can’t find any other flaw. Great job, I’m going to check out the rest of your work now.

Thankyou. I already fixed the drawing so I can't change it anymore, but I'll keep the tips in mind for my other drawings!

Great job! Considering how hard it is detailing with charcoals i have a question: How large is original?

Posted: Thursday, 22 July, 2004 @ 12:57 PM

Thanks. The original is A4 size.

Cool! The heavy shadows really bring out the ear.

Thankyou! It means a lot to me that you say that, I meant the ear to be distracting although many people tell me it is too light. :)
