Everyone else has done their version of Dib and Gaz's mom, so I thought, "Why not me too?" Now every rendition of her I've ever seen has had Dib and Gaz's mom looking like either an angel or a supermodel, and that's fine, but I wanted to try something different from the usual fare. My guess is that she was probably a scientist like the Professor, or maybe a teacher of some sort at a university. And who knows? Maybe she's still alive, but over doing research in Japan or Africa or something, but if not I'd say she probably died in some lab accident. Eh, I really have no big theories on this, but it's a thought --;;
I have to give all the credit for the design to Jaimielee Rocket who runs the Dib fansite 'Paranoia'. She did a picture of Mrs. Membrane like this, and I loved her unique and unconventional design so much that I used some of the elements from her drawing and also made a few modifications to her look to make it more personal. But the inspiration for this came mostly from Jaimie's rendition, so if you see this, Jaimie, then I dedicate this to you ^^

BOO! Hee... 'Tis me again. WOW! I can TOTALLY see Dib and Gaz being spawned from this woman. Seriously, this is VERY COOL. I tried to CG a few of Jess's pencil-drawn pics... MAN! It's harder than it looks. Welp, must dash! Can't wait to see the pic you're drawing for me!!! -=HaZeL=-

She looks great and all that, and the style is very nice, but I thought you might have put a bit more originality into it. No, I'm not in any way, shape or form complaining -- there's no way I could ever do anything this good, but I was wondering why everyone always makes Dib's mom with purple hair. I'm more than certain Gaz's is dyed, and as cool as this woman does look with purple hair, it just seems a bit overdone. Anyway, I don't know why I said that; I say dumb, annoying stuff too often...

My friend Apricot showed me this and WOW! X3 I'm so proud that you liked my rendition so much you did this. I don't like the angelic/super model look either. (And this is kinda ironic for I was redrawing that particular comic about Membrane's wife. X3)
And, yes! So pretty! I love her goggles, so scientific looking, I be jealous.
Also, if you'd email me back when you get this, I have a question to ask of you. :3
(And I didn't know someone was trying to CG my sketches? O_o Woosh.)

This is so spiffy. And I also thought that Mrs. Membrane was probably a scientist. I have some in-depth theories. I think she was a dreamer, and Dib got his fascination with the paranormal schtuff from her, after all, Membrane's an obvious skeptic. I think she either died in a freak accident, or left the Professor because he never had time for her. Mmyep. O_o Anyhoo, this pic is spiffy. ^^

Oh WOW! That's a FABULOUS design. She looks great! Very IZish too. Probably the way the show would have it. I always considered the possiblity that she might still be alive doing research some where. I love the idea of her also being a woman of science. Beautiful. I love it. By the way, do you happen to have a link to that "Paranoia" site? I'd LOVE to go there. Great picture! ^.~
I haven't seen the angel/supermodel renderings of Mrs. Membrane...but I think this one's DEAD ON!! ... I don't suppose you could email me an example of the original that inspired you, could you?
