The paper is black, but I have a brown tone spread nearly everywhere in the picture. I am glad you like it since it took around eight hours. With my luck my teacher will hate it ^^ Anyways, thanks for the comment!

Small piece of my current art project. I changed my normal style of coloring a lot since the art teacher hates anime...a lot. Completed in colored pencil.
That is some gorgeous detail you've got going there. For a moment I thought it had been done with both pencils and chalk, but I suppose that is more an affect of scanning the image?
I am curious what colour the base of the paper is? It looks like you drew it on brown-toned paper because of the earthy feel in the colours.
Needles to say, I like this a lot. :)
