When dolls can dance... by @SilverRogue (Silver Rogue)
Oddly enough, this image was inspired by my new shoes. I'm not used to shoes where the heel is taller than the front, so I'm still a bit stiff-legged when I walk in them, and my mom happened to mention that the way I was walking reminded her of a doll. I was wearing basically the same outfit as the person in the image, and my computer happened to be playing a MIDI called "Dancing Dolls". Well, as a joke, I started to dance a bit. Long story short, I was inspired by the idea of dolls dancing, and in the words of an old show that was on Nick, "dolls are such perfect little people, but what if they once WERE people!?" and I got the idea that maybe I could draw the opposite, a doll turned human! If you understood ANYTHING of what I've said so far, you deserve a cookie. Well, anyway, the original image was drawn on computer paper with pencil, the actual lineart was done over that with black gel pen. The cleanup and color was done in MS Paint, the fade effect in the background was done on Paintshop Pro 7, and finally the japanese writing was done on Corel Photohouse 3 (It's her name mispelled, in case you're wondering. The reason it's spelled wrong is because I don't care much about spelling at 3 in the morning. Artwork © Copyright 2002 Silver Rogue
