4: The Locust Plague
4: The Locust Plague by @kgavlas (Kim Gavlas)

Heretic, demon, defiler, devourer. He is raging, destroyed but not dead; an altarpiece to sacrifice all this impotent RACHE I have upon.

Fourth in a group of images I'm doing for an SART 3090 assignment.

Hey happydrunk. This is really incredible, it's like an delicate elaborate horror. Like the twisted dreaminess of Lovecraft mixed with the precision of Poe. Like Giger done with a dainty hand. Its really amazing. The only thing that I think could make it more "real" (if if course that it what you are striving for) would be to shade it deeper and more realistically. It looks like a light, airy nightmare rather than anything with depth and substance. Of course, if aetherial grostequeries were your intention, my apologies for suggesting anything else. Beautiful work.
