Shaman King's Lee Pai Long
Shaman King's Lee Pai Long by @DHL (Artist DHL)

This is my first time on a site like this. Unfortunately the coloured pencil drawings I do well at don't scan in very well. Anyway, this is the corpse puppet Lee Pai Long from Shaman King. It's one of my very first marker drawings. Enjoy!

(That mark at the bottom of the pic, that's my signature)

Nice picture considering that you used markers, a difficult media to work with. Lighting effects seem accurate, but the little-to-no shading appears a bit off. As a fan of Shaman King, I prefer to see Li Bailong (there's ALOT of different ways to spell a Chinese name!) without the ofuda on his face, but then, everyone has their preferences, and your's is apparently with the ofuda on. The pose of the upper body seems a bit stiff, and the fingers of the raised hand are quite stiff, but he lower body portrays motion and fluidity quite well. I don't say these things to be mean, but to point out what you've mastered and what you may want to consider practicing a bit more on so that you can improve your style with every picture. Thanks for drawing Shaman King fanart! There are only 3 characters i think i'm somewhat capable of drawing: Ponchi, Conchi, and hitodama-form Amidamaru. Keep up the good work!
