Acrylic painting of a wolf. What do you think? I took a lot of time and work but I'm proud of it and I hope to keep refining my skills with acrylics, and keeping that in mind, I would love comments and crits, otherwise how else can I get better?

Thanks

This is really good for a beginning piece. Nice color, and nice work on the fur... I think I would have deeped all the shadows just a touch, it would give the wolf's coat more depth. Over all ...Good Job!

Thank you so much for the compliment and crit. I always appreciate anyone taking the time to help me out. So thanks Sooooooo much!!

I can see what you mean about the shading. I wasn't sure how to show the fur, because I'd never done it before. Next time I will certianly try it. ^-^

Very good! You rendered the fur in an excellent way. Maybe a little more shadow on the wolf belly would help to place the legs more correctly. As it is they seem to be too close together in comparison to width of the body... And another thing, I would crop picture a bit in order to remove the wooden background. I think you can do it without losing much of the actual painting area :) Keep up good work :)))

.< Yea I kinda took the picture on the floor of my old house, which was wood, which is why there is a wooden background. I was worried about losing some of the painting.

I know what you mean by shading, I had some problems getting the fur to look correctly with colour I didn't concentrate a lot on the shading yet, but next time I will include more shading. ^_^
