... into the center of the screen and flashing in the blue C symbol. The Carlton wordmark and colour tag then elevated from the thin blue line, as the only white bits in the ident. 

The 'Tube' ident, later known by pres enthusiasts, became a prominant face of British TV in the 70s, similar to ATV's Zoom 2.
