Lol, right,doing portraits is a good way to spend time in something more constructive :) Anyway, you are right about shading. Actually original is a bit smoother, but scanner was eating all the deepest shadows, so i had to force contrast a bit and that ended up eating middletones :(

Well, what can I say? ^__^ I couldn't draw like this to save my life. Love the way you accented the wrinkles without making him look... ancient. XD
I'd have liked to see more shading though. ^^
