T? Rreally? Okay I'll shift it. There. Guess paranoid s better than not. Thanx. Mostly its knowing how the mind's eye fools one. She is alot lowe resolution and detail than appears at 5ft away, the viewer fills in what expects. i.e. her hair is really just a blob of black with some white and powder blue etc hints, yet the viewer sees strands. The trick is to disconnect and reconnect the objective-analytical eye and the interpretive eye several times during creation. The physical part is easier now w/ computers to save various steps and attempts and edit or backstep. If not for that this crip would be creatively silent and artless now.

Very interesting blend of realism and slight abstraction. Its very surreal. Love the detailing in her hands the most. The little vein crossing the tendons is excellent :)

I'd love to see what the original traditional media drawing looked like

thanx. I started with the hands, arms and mid-chest from memory of my old powerlifting coach... she was also my wife's advisor... wierd eh? Anywho that was on a coffeeeshop napkin that then had pencil, colored paste, crayons and marker added; was scanned in, cleaned up, and then all the rest was done directly in the 'puter in either P-shop, P-morph or MsPaint. any of her SRU students have that pose, usually ina black, full length lit skirt burned into their heads!
